Programmer, website designer and game entrepreneur. Developer of Undead Legacy mod for 7 Days to Die.
Bio
I grew up in a small suburb and during late school years (grade 9-12) I enjoyed working on custom website designs and during university years when studying construction engineering I did freelancing on web development.
During that time I discovered minecraft and started modding it and that's where I realized the potential of programming and creating content for video games and lost interest and dropped out of studying construction engineering.
After a few years freelancing and modding minecraft, I decided to go and get a degree in programming, which I did and during that time I discovered 7 Days to Die and never looked back!
That game has changed my life. At first it started with small tweaks in XML tweaking some parameters for items here and there and it snowballed from there. In late Alpha 10 or so, right before A12 is where I started truly working on Undead Legacy and only in A16 is where I felt, that the mod was ready for release in November 4th, 2017! The mod was well received, however back then I was still very new to game development related things and it was just XML edits, UI changes and custom icons.
The real work started mid Alpha 17, where a community member by the handle sphereii gave me some tutoring on how to get into the nitty gritty modding of 7 days to die and SDX (now DMT) and I basically had to scratch almost everything I worked prior to this and started from scratch with a new vision for Undead Legacy, but keeping the core soul of the mod, which lead to releasing it to the public only in November 30th, 2020 for A19.2.
Throughout this time I've met many wonderful people and I am very grateful for the amazing 7 Days to Die community and how supportive it has been in my journey!
Future plans
Undead Legacy is a huge ongoing dynamic project and despite the fact, that a lot has already been worked on, moving onward with 7 Days to Die newer releases, a lot of the core code has been rewritten, changed and updated to get the mod up to speed with the newest version of the game.
Not to mention, that I have a lot more ideas planned ahead in terms of additional content to be added over the foreseeable future, such as continuing working on the user interface, adding more items (generic, resources, tools, ranged and melee weapons, armors etc.), more blocks (more ores, decorative blocks etc.), more quests, animals, monsters, zombies and above all else I want to work on adding completely new theme specific POIs, that could be found only in specific biomes & conditions.
More info about the plans can be read in roadmap on this site.
Beyond Undead Legacy
Eventually I would love to start working on my own survival game by utilizing all the skills I've gained so far and will gain in the future while making Undead Legacy as well as assets I've obtained for the mod over the years.
